Calm has returned to the streets of Egypt after a day of violent protests left three people dead.

Many consider the demonstrations to be the largest in decades in which thousands of demonstrators took part in rallies across several major Egyptian cities..

And most people were calling for an end to President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule.

But by the pre-dawn hours protesters appeared to have been dispersed.
