枝野幸男官房長官は３１日午前の記者会見で、国際原子力機関（IAEA）が福島県飯舘村内の土壌から高濃度放射性物質が検出され、避難勧告を出すよう日本政府に伝えたことについて「現状ではそうした状況ではない」と述べ、直ちに避難指示を出す必要はないとの認識を示した。
